HV specialist Sam Davey appointed as Head of Operations (Maintenance) at Maintech Power

Maintech Power, the High Voltage (HV) installation and maintenance specialist, has announced the promotion of HV expert Sam Davey to its Head of Operations – Maintenance, as the company continues to expand its national operations and maintenance portfolio across a broad range of sectors.

Sam brings over 25 years of industry experience to the role, having first developed an expertise in HV systems as an engineering apprentice at British Sugar. His varied career has included running his own business, delivering services on major windfarm projects, before moving into senior, specialist HV operations roles.

He joined Maintech Power as an HV Project Manager in 2024 and was quickly promoted to Head of Operations for Major Projects in late 2024.

Maintech Power’s Operations and Maintenance division works with clients in critical industries including the defence, NHS, major infrastructure and financial services sectors, supporting their private HV networks across the UK. In his new role, Sam now leads the Operations and Maintenance division, overseeing its senior HV managers and ensuring the successful delivery of inspection and maintenance activities across more than 300 live sites.

Maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients is absolutely vital and that’s key priority for me in this role. I’m also looking forward to continuing to build the team as we continue to deliver reliable, high-quality HV services to existing and new customers nationwide.
