As part of its growth plans, the Ipswich-based company is expanding with the development of two specialist teams. The first delivering major projects up to 132kV, and the second specialising in 11kV/33Kv projects now led by Ashley, who has been in the industry for more than 20 years.
Having begun his career as an electrical apprentice in the industrial & commercial buildings sector, working predominately on Low Voltage projects, he joined Maintech Power in 2013.
Originally a Field Manager, Ashley gained additional experience and HV qualifications and competencies over the past decade working on a variety installation and maintenance projects, becoming a Project Manager in 2021 and Senior Project Manager in 2023. He is also a qualified 11/33kV jointer and Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
As Head of Operations (Projects), Ashley will lead a team of seven, which is expected to increase by three before the end of the year, as Maintech Power increases its pipeline of contracts for the installation and maintenance of private electricity networks and for renewable energy installations.
I’m really proud to take on this role to lead our projects team at a time when demand for our specialist services is increasing. We are ideally positioned to support the development of the UK’s renewable energy generation capabilities and private networks for new and existing commercial sites with our HV installation and maintenance expertise.
Ashley is one of our most experienced project managers and we are pleased to announce his appointment in this new role, which will support our continued growth. He is a great example of the many talented people we have at Maintech Power and also how we help our people to develop their careers and expertise on a portfolio of significant projects.
