HV specialist promoted to Divisional Director to drive Maintech Power’s growth

Maintech Power, the High Voltage (HV) installation and maintenance specialist, has continued to strengthen its senior leadership team with the promotion of Aaron Sallows to Divisional Director.

Aaron will lead the Suffolk-based business as it acts on its strategy to increase its presence locally and nationally in the delivery of its specialist services to sectors including the renewable energy industry alongside the installation and maintenance of private electrical distribution networks for major industrial and commercial developments.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the field of HV engineering, Aaron is in his second spell at Maintech Power.

Having joined the business in 2017 as an Operations Manager (Maintenance), he moved to international solar farm operator Lightsource bp, initially as Head of HV for the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of its UK solar farms, before progressing to become the Global O&M HV Technical Manager.

Returning to Maintech Power after three years with Lightsource bp, Aaron took on the role of Head of Operations (Maintenance), before becoming Operations Director and now, Divisional Director.

Aaron’s promotion is part of Maintech Power’s approach to build a larger and more experienced workforce through recruitment, development and succession planning.

In addition, the company is continuing its recruitment drive to attract both experienced HV engineers and those entering the industry as it increases its strong pipeline of projects.

Maintech Power, which is part of Fulcrum Group, is experiencing growing demand for its specialist HV services for projects such as installation of private electrical distribution networks and maintenance programmes for large scale solar farms, wind farms, battery storage sites, and industrial and commercial premises.

I am extremely proud to become Divisional Director.  Maintech Power has a tremendous track record for its highly specialist capabilities and built excellent long-term relationships, which we will build on as we increase our presence locally and across the UK.

We have become a key part of East Anglia’s energy cluster, which has a strong supply chain operating in wind and solar energy. Maintech Power joined the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce to engage with local businesses and promote our specialist skills within the local supply chains. We are taking that expertise beyond the region and are already winning work nationwide, which is also helping us attract and retain highly talented people.

There is a strong ‘family business’ culture at Maintech Power, which we will maintain while we grow our geographic footprint and develop our relationships with large clients.  This is an exciting time for Maintech Power, and I am really looking forward to leading the business, with the support of our highly collaborative team, onto greater success.

Aaron Sallows, Divisional Director
